Restaurants & Bars

Sapphire Valley & Cashiers

Fox Run Ridge lies only a few miles from a variety of restaurants and bars, no matter whether you’re looking for local fare or a seasonal culinary experience. Some of our local favorites include (from more expensive/fine dining to less expensie/more casual):

Fine Dining: Canyon Kitchen, Osteria Del Monte, Library Kitchen and Bar, and The Orchard.

Bar & Grill/Casual: The Fix, Casa Amigos (next to the Shell station), Mica’s, Whiteside Brewing, Slab Town Pizza, and Cornucopia (seasonal).

If you’re up for a scenic drive along parts of Lake Glenville, a 30 min. drive out to Happ’s Place (seasonal) never disappoints, often with live music, corn hole and great casual fare.

Canoeing and Hiking

Panthertown Valley

Enjoy private trail access just across from our driveway entrance to Panthertown Valley’s amazing 6,700 acre tract of high-elevation trail system. We recommend using a hiking app like AllTrails to help you navigate this ‘back yard’ oasis!

Panthertown is revered as one of the Appalachian Mountains best hiking valleys. Explore miles of unpaved trails, eight major waterfalls, and sandy beaches along clear, deep swimming holes. Photographers love the rare, high-altitude laurel and rhododendron in what’s known as the “Yosemite of the East."

Fairfield lake, one of our favorite Sapphire Valley amenities, and is also accessible via a guest pass and offers canoeing and boating options in season and a beautiful walk around the lake off season.

Quiet when you want it.

(FUN WHEN YOU DON'T)

Since it’s charter in 1927, the village of Cashiers (22 minutes away) is known as the “Heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.” High on the plateau, the unique geography is home to hundreds of waterfalls, over 500 local businesses, 16 golf courses and world-class dining in a relaxed mountain setting.
